Hello
Wow – What a nice weekend after the rain down pours of Thursday and Friday night. The weather Saturday and Sunday was PERFECT!! The down pours really rutted up our roads. We will get some gravel hauled in and get them back to normal over the next weeks. As you noticed, our campground was full again!! What a great time for everyone. The smell of breakfasts cooking all over the campground in the morning is fantastic..
If you are thinking of camping at Summer Haven, get your reservations in early. We have been sold out the last few weekends and have had to turn people away..
FAMILY OF THE WEEK!
Say Hello to the Maish family.

Best memory at Summer Haven?: Wayne: Meeting new people, and making new friends. I still like Bart, even though he is a Sioux fan. Cassie: Hanging out with my family and enjoying each other. Ethan: Winning the fishing contest last season. Carson: Eating yummy smores. Addison: Catching her first fish (rock bass), and holding it for a picture.
Wanted: Summer Haven families to be the “Summer Haven Family of the Week”. Please stop by the office for a family photo so we can feature your family in our newsletter.
Beltrami County Fair -Grand Stand events will be Motocross at 7 p.m. Thursday, Triple B Rodeo at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Demolition Derby at noon Sunday.
Next Weekend – Dragon Boat Races in Bemidji!!
1-2 pm – Sundaes on Sunday Ice Cream Social (bring your own bowl and spoon)
@ Lodge, 50 cents per bowl donation appreciated
IMPORTANT: To keep everyone safe, Effective July 21, 2010 you must be 14 years or older to operate an ATV or golf cart in the resort. If you see anyone operating an ATV or golf cart in an unsafe manner please call the office with the number that on the back of the ATV or golf cart.
Thanks, we hope you have a great week

Hello!
The weekend will be a little scary, both Duane and Steve will be up…”AHHH” Duane will be running around on the Golf cart breaking things and causing a ruckus, and Steve chasing after him and fixing everything in his path. So don’t be surprised if you see an explosion… it’s probably Duane trying to fix something.
This is Matt in the office, giving everyone a fair warning to what could happen! I’m taking off this weekend to hide from the path of destruction, every man, woman and child for themselves.
But, Duane and Steve were not able to spend as much time up here this year as they would of liked due to personal and family things. They are really excited to see everyone this weekend, and hope you stop in and say hello, Steve will be on Lot 3 in the cabin, and Duane will be on lot 113 in the woods… If I haven’t pushed his camper into the lake by than.
Wanted: Summer Haven families to be the “Summer Haven Family of the Week”. Please stop by the office for a family photo so we can feature your family in our newsletter.
Please stop by and look at our lost and found, after this next weekend we will be cleaning house. What ever is left will be donated.

ATV/ Golf Cart Safety!! In an effort to keep our guests safe all ATVs and golf carts will need to be registered at the office and have an identification tag. There will be $5.00 fee to register your golf cart (this includes the i.d. tag and the vinyl numbers). The i.d. tag will allow us to identify those not abiding by our simple rules. If you see someone driving inappropriately please call the office with the i.d. number (this number is also their lot number) from the back of the golf cart. Simple ATV/golf cart rules: The number of seats on the golf cart determines the number of passengers, yield to other people and vehicles, handle in a safe manner, with 79 acres of land golf carts are to be used to get from point A to point B (not continuously driven around the resort). If you have a golf cart, please stop in the office to register. THANKS!
